SOLAR ENERGY · CAREER PATHWAY

Become an IISE Solar Trainer

IISE is expanding, and we're looking for our next generation of trainers. This is a paid, structured pathway — technical training, a Training-of-Trainers program in teaching methodology, and supervised teaching practice — leading to the opportunity to join our instructor team at one of IISE's training centres across India.

Paid Training 6-Month Program Instructor Placement Pathway

Why IISE Needs Trainers

India is in the middle of a solar energy revolution — but one of the industry's biggest bottlenecks isn't installers or engineers, it's trainers. Skilled manpower is the gap IISE was built to close, and as our own training footprint grows across India, we need experienced educators and passionate solar professionals to grow it with us.

A good solar trainer needs more than technical knowledge. Content matters, but so does how it's delivered — training that a complete newcomer to the solar industry can actually follow and apply. As India's premier renewable training institute, that's the standard every IISE trainer is trained to meet, through an interactive, session-by-session teaching format.

How You Become an IISE Trainer

IISE's training-of-trainers process runs in three stages, and every current IISE trainer has gone through it:

1

Attend IISE Training (Basic & Professional Level)

You'll go through IISE's own technical training — the same program our students take — covering solar PV fundamentals through to system design. New to solar? You'll also work through additional self-study material before this stage.

2

Training of Trainers — Teaching Methodology

A structured program, typically 20 weeks or more, focused entirely on how to teach: presentation, keeping participants engaged, and how to use IISE's training materials to deliver a consistently high-quality session.

3

Teaching Exercise & Shadowing

You'll lead an actual training session for the first time, with a senior IISE faculty member present to support you and give feedback. From there, trainers join IISE's annual refresher, where skills are topped up and new trainers are integrated into the wider training community.

Do You Want to Become an IISE Trainer?

As IISE expands, we're always looking for trainers who want to pass on solar knowledge, meet interesting new people in our courses, and be part of a growing training team.

Solar Trainer Certification Program

This six months Solar Trainer Certification Program for existing & prospective Faculty professionals with 2 years or more years of experience in teaching / training and who want skills enhancement to move into one of the fastest growing market of Solar today. Participants develop the knowledge and skills they need to train students in the field of renewable energy.

Solar Power a clean renewable resource with zero emission has got tremendous potential of energy which can be harnessed using a variety of devices. With recent developments, solar energy systems are easily available for industrial and domestic use with the added advantage of minimum maintenance. Solar energy is made financially viable with government tax incentives and rebates.

India has an average annual temperature that ranges from 25°C – 27.5 °C. This means that India has huge solar potential.  One of the biggest challenges for the India’s booming renewable energy industry is getting skilled manpower. The primary goal of IISE is to fill this gap through solar short term, long term courses & solar online training.

What makes a good Solar training course? Besides relevant syllabus & content, the second major factor is the mode of presentation which is understood by a layman trying to enter the Solar industry. Our goal is to deliver excellent training, so we pay great attention not only to what’s on the slide but also how it is presented.

All our trainers are carefully selected and trained. They not only possess the technical knowledge but also the ability to transfer that knowledge in an interesting and interactive way, and facilitate and optimize the learning process of every participant.

About IISE

IISE is considered as India’s premier renewable training institute. We are dedicated to providing the highest training to those wishing for a career change or existing Solar professional looking for skill enhancement. The course will be conducted in a interactive mode and each session builds upon the previous session.

IISE has developed a procedure for becoming a Solar Trainer. The training of trainers consists of 3 steps:

Attend IISE Training (basic and professional level)

Here the trainers-to-be receive the necessary technical skills and see for the first time how Solar training is conducted. If the trainer candidates are completely new to solar energy, they are given homework in the form of the study of additional materials on solar PV. Even if the trainer candidate already has experience in solar installation or design, he/she must take part in the training course to have seen a complete training.

Participation in a Training of Trainers on teaching methodology and use of materials.

This part is usually a 20-week training, if not more. Here the trainers-to-be learn about teaching methods, how to make training interesting for the participants, and how to involve them. We show our trainers how to use the materials provided by IISE in order to assure equally high quality in all our training programs.

Teaching Exercise and Shadowing

After sufficient training, the trainer candidate teaches in an actual training course for the first time. An accredited Senior Faculty is present to support the new trainer and give feedback at the end of the session. For all our trainers, we offer an annual Training of Trainers where we top up skills, work on new training courses and integrate new trainers into the existing training community. Here in IISE we frequently review all our training and their implementation, We take continuous feedback from our students for the performance of the trainers, in order to ensure a consistently high standard in all our courses.

Do you want to become a IISE trainer?

Due to our expansion, We are always looking for trainers. If you want to pass on solar knowledge, meet interesting new people in the courses and be part of a great trainer team, send us your CV! Ideally, you will have practical experience in the solar industry but a passion for renewable energies is the actual key qualification we are looking for!

If you are eligible, you will be selected for the training. Please note that this is a paid training. After the training period, you will be working as a instructor for IISE. For further information please contact us and provide your CV.
