PG Diploma in Solar Renewable energy

PG Diploma in Solar Renewable energy is an intensive one-year course taught in hybrid mode with distance learning /Online learning  – live lectures and two sessions of the Personal Contact Programme (PCP) modules for 5 days each every semester. This is held at one of our installed Solar Power plant locations around Mumbai. The one-year course with contact modules in Renewable courses distance learning is as per the enclosed syllabus of the pg diploma in energy management. The PG Diploma program is aimed at producing future leaders in the energy sector.

The Solar Job Market

A  Natural Resources Defense Council ( NRDC ) report makes clear that scaling up solar energy will not only address growing energy demands and climate change threats but also add as many as one million new engineers, technicians, solar installers, maintenance workers, and performance data monitors to its workforce.

The Report, filling the Skill Gap in India’s Clean Energy Market outlines the types of new jobs and new training facilities and institutes needed for India to reach its 500 GW solar energy target by 2028. Approximately 183,500 full-time jobs for Senior Management would be generated if India has to reach this target.

One of the biggest challenges for India’s booming renewable energy industry is getting skilled manpower. The primary goal of IISE is to fill this gap through solar short-term, long-term courses & solar workshops.

Post Graduate Diploma in Solar Renewable energy for the academic year 2024-25.

IISE is offering PG Diploma in Solar Renewable Energy for the academic year 2024-25. This Renewable courses distance learning course is specifically designed for working professionals in the solar sector  who are looking to upgrade their expertise, stay ahead of industry trends, and unlock new opportunities for career advancement in the rapidly evolving renewable energy market.

Course Description

The Post Graduate Diploma in Solar Renewable Energy program aims to equip aspiring professionals with the specialized knowledge, practical skills, and strategic insights necessary to lead the charge in harnessing the power of solar energy, thereby fostering sustainability, driving innovation, and catalyzing positive change in the global energy landscape

This program enables students from across various industries, energy utilities, and consultancy firm to complete the course work without leaving their current job or career. Students completing this course will be equipped with advanced and updated skills required to design, install, Commission, and evaluate the technical and economic viability of renewable energy and implement energy efficiency projects.

Eligibility

• Should be B.E. /B. Tech. B.sc. or M.Sc. in Maths, Physics OR Chemistry.
• Bachelor’s Degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• International / SAARC Graduates from a recognised / accredited University / Institution.
• Students appearing for their final graduation exam may also apply, subject to completion of graduation as specified by IISE.
• Preference will be given to candidates working in the Solar Sector/ Related energy sector.

Total no of seats – 30 nos only

Admission for this course will be conducted in TWO PHASES for the convenience of International and upcountry students.

Please note that ONCE SEATS ARE FILLED IN THE FIRST PHASE, ADMISSION FOR THE SECOND PHASE WILL NOT BE HELD.

FIRST PHASE:

• Online application start date: 04th July 2024
• Last date for application for the first phase is 18th July 2024.

PROGRAM FEES :  Rs. 124,999/-

SCHOLARSHIP:

• Get scholarship up to 40 %  if you apply before 16th July 2024. 
• Total course fee for students availing  40% scholarship is Rs. 74,999
• Scholarship consideration is exclusive to applications received by 16th July 2024. 
• Only 10 seats are reserved for scholarship recipients, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis scoring more than 80% in the online exam.

Applications submitted after  16th July 2024 will not be eligible for scholarship consideration. Please note that once all scholarship seats are filled during the initial round of admissions, no further scholarship opportunities will be available.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic performance, scoring at least above 80% in our online test. With scholarships available for 10 deserving students, competition will be fierce – so make sure you’re ready to shine!

SECOND PHASE:

Selection will be strictly on Merit. Seats are limited so students would be shortlisted on first cum first serve basis depending upon qualifications experience & online exam grading. 

HOW TO GET STARTED – Admission procedure:

Step one: 

Admission for the PG Diploma start on 04th July 2024.

All the students in our inquiry database will be emailed first and given a chance to take admission on a first come first basis.

After you make the payment. you will be directed to the application page. Here you can submit all your details. Additional documents if required should be submitted. You will be provided a link for the online exam.  The screening committee will then shortlist the eligible candidates. 

Scenario one :

If you are selected for the program and take the admission, This amount will be adjusted against your course fee. 

Scenario Two :

This amount is refundable after a deduction of Rs 500/- for the processing charges if you are not selected for the program.

Scenario Three :

If you are selected and don’t take the admission, then only this amount will be forfeited.

( We are having this arrangement Since we are getting a lot of inquiries and want to avoid time wasters from our admission process. )

Step Two

Shortlisted candidates will be emailed a conditional offer letter .  Admission confirmation fee should be paid at this stage as per the fee schedule given by IISE.

Application received on or before  16th July 2024 will be only considered for scholarship.
